The G.I. Bill in the Academy

If possible, you should prepare early to use your GI Bill in the academy. Academies are ran though community colleges and treated as college coursework. Therefore, your GI Bill is applied to the community college associated with your academy. For example, the Sacramento County Sheriff's Academy is via the American River College. During academy orientation, they will have you register to the college and will help you with GI Bill documents.
